St. Andrews Senior High has been won for themselves a HEROES AWARD for being part of the top 10 senior high schools in Ghana. The establishment of St. Andrews SHS was the brainchild of Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu, he started the Senior High School at a dilapilated building behind the old Ghana National Fire Service Station at Assin Foso, in the Central Region of Ghana in the year 2005. With a humble beginning of just 25 students and 4 tutors, the school has now grown from grace to grace and from just one program in General Arts, the school is now persuing five additional programs namely, Business, Visual Arts, Agricultural Science, Home Economics, General Science and Technical. The school is gradually robbing shoulders with Grade ‘A’ public SHS. It was therefore not a surprise that in the year 2015, the Ghana Education Service accorded the school the status as a Grade ‘A’ Private SHS. The school has grown numerically and they now have a student strength of 2652. In the year 2013 St. Andrews produced the highest number ever in the history of West African Examination Council Examinations, by registering 1814 candidates at a sitting, a record yet to be broken by any school in this country. Now St. Andrews can boast of being among the best 10 senior high school in Ghana.
